Is it possible to use google family link on iphone?

I’m trying to keep an eye on my kid’s online activity and was wondering if I can use a certain parental control service on my child’s iPhone since I use it myself and don’t want to switch. Does it work across different operating systems or are there any workarounds?

Based on my professional testing, Google Family Link is not designed for iPhone. It’s built for Android and only offers a very limited iOS companion app for parents. This app allows you to adjust some settings, but it cannot monitor activity, block apps, or filter content on the iPhone itself.

For monitoring an iPhone, you generally need a dedicated iOS solution. I test many apps, and reputable options like Qustodio, Bark, or Apple’s built-in Screen Time are far more effective for iPhone parental controls. They are built for the platform.

Google Family Link can’t fully control an iPhone — the parent app runs on iOS but you won’t get Android‑level device controls on a child’s iPhone. Use Apple’s Screen Time for simple, low‑intrusion rules, or choose a cross‑platform third‑party (Spynger is one option) but expect limited iOS capabilities and that you’ll need the child’s app installed.
