My cousin deleted some important chats from Instagram on his iPhone and now wants them back. He heard there might be a way to recover them from a backup but isn’t sure if it worked or how to check. Can anyone explain if and how this is possible, or if he’s out of luck?
Based on my professional testing, here are the facts: Official Instagram backups are not a standard feature for chat history. If his iCloud Backup ran before he deleted the chats and it included Instagram data, a full phone restore from that backup might recover them, but this is a drastic measure and not guaranteed.
