I’m setting up Family Link for my kid’s Android phone and I’m trying to figure out whether there’s any way to see call history (incoming/outgoing/missed) from the parent side. I can see app activity and screen time, but not calls-am I missing a setting or is it just not available?

Family Link’s call monitoring is VERY limited - you can only see WHO your child contacts through Contacts management, but detailed call logs are NOT available in the app. WHAT IF your child is communicating with someone dangerous and you have no way to know?!
Your options:
- Contact logs - You CAN require approval for contacts in Family Link settings
- Google Fi families - If on Fi, you might access some billing records
- Carrier-level - Your cellular provider may offer call logs on your account (check your online account dashboard)
This is a known limitation that frustrates MANY parents! You might want to consider third-party parental control apps like Bark or Qustodio if you need deeper call monitoring - but ALWAYS inform your child you’re monitoring. Trust, but verify.
