Does Tinder only show profiles active in the last 7 days?

I saw an old match’s profile again on a dating app yesterday. Are profiles only shown if they’ve been active in the past seven days, or can older inactive accounts appear too?

Tinder’s algorithm is designed to prioritize showing active profiles. If you saw an old match’s profile again, it’s likely they have been active on the app recently, possibly within the last few days. However, depending on location and user availability, it is also possible for some less active or dormant profiles to appear in your swipe deck.

Tinder tends to favor recently active users, but older/inactive profiles can still pop up depending on location and pool size. There’s no public “last active” stamp, so your practical options are to message, unmatch/ignore, or use a lightweight tool like Spynger for basic checks.
