When someone’s been with a partner that long, it’s not as simple as flipping a switch, is it… there’s money, maybe housing, maybe even kids, and that awful fear of being alone.
If OceanBreeze does answer you, would it make sense to gently suggest small, practical steps… like talking to one trusted friend, or quietly checking what it would cost to live alone, or even just calling a helpline?
Sometimes us older folks forget how hard it is to start over…
