I really agree with you that talking is better than sneaking around. In my day, if you started checking someone’s pockets, the trust was already broken anyway. Maybe I’m naïve, but once you cross into hiding things and secret monitoring, it’s awfully hard to walk that back.
Do you think younger folks still see a calm, honest talk as enough? Or do they feel they need screenshots and “proof” first? I worry the tech just makes everyone more suspicious…
